Equipment
A large, relatively
private yard or other secluded area. As many as possible of pails, squirt
guns. Super Soakers, large round sponges, kids' wading pools, etc. A good
supply of dry towels. Finally, all players should arrive with a white
cotton outer clothes.
Setup
Pre-position the weapons
(sponges, squirt guns, Super Soakers) and ammunition (wading pools, pails
of water) around the play area.
Rules
of Play
There really isn't much in
the way of rules; the main object is to have as much fun as possible by
getting everyone else as wet as possible. Everyone should change into
their white cotton clothing, with no undergarments allowed. They can then
use the quirt guns and super soakers to shoot other players, or the big
sponges make excellent water bombs. Using only one "weapon" at a time,
load up on "ammunition" and chase down the other player of your choice.
But, no touching unless everyone agrees to it beforehand. We're confident
that you can improvise with the preceding, or just create your own set or
rules. Even if you don't, it's one of those games where everyone winds up
a winner!
Variants
Execution Variant: Instead
of chaos, have the guys and girls form two lines facing one another.
Alternate "shots" from a distance appropriate for the players' ages and
skill levels.
Erect Nipple and Shrunken
Balls Variant: Refrigerate the water beforehand, and begin the game
immediately.
Very Messy Variant: The
same, but substitute vegetable oil for the water. Be sure to have plenty
of soap and a hose on hand for cleanup afterward!.
Notes
This activity is a good warm-up for those who aren't ready to totally
strip in front of others. While they'll almost inevitably wind up exposing
themselves, they will still be covered.
While great fun, be sure to have facilities ready for those that would
actually like to clean up, dry off, and change clothes afterwards!
